The dynamics of the bone structure (Drift) are developed not only during the eruption of the teeth in the childhood but also over the whole life-time.
In the adolescence, they have impact on the growth sequence and later on, they even have influence to the coordination of the bone-muscle structure depending on several other factors.

On the other hand, the main part of this development is already present as genetic informations (Code) and expresses itself later on during the growth. But unfortunately, a secondarily acquired habit such as thumb sucking might worsen additionally an unfavorable growth pattern sometimes.
